Health Risk Management and Advice

Many Occupational Health providers restrict their activities to providing Health Surveillance programmes to detect Occupational Diseases such as noise induced hearing loss or occupational asthma. Whilst useful and helping to ensure an employer complies with their statutory responsibilities, health surveillance is only part of a solution and a “backstop” to ensure that health risk controls are satisfactory.

Duradiamond Healthcare passionately believes that the most significant improvements in employee health can be gained by actively identifying and then reducing Occupational Health risks in the workplace and all of our staff engage with clients to offer advice where they see an opportunity to reduce risk.  

In addition, knowledge of Occupational Health issues is still generally poor amongst managers and even some safety professionals. For this reason, our staff meet regularly with such groups to talk about Occupational Health risk reduction. We believe that raising awareness of the importance of Occupational Health Risk in an organisation encourages employees at all levels to take measures to reduce that risk. Past experience has demonstrated to us that stimulating this “health behavioural change” is the most important and cost effective measure available and Duradiamond Healthcare has considerable experience of delivering this important service.
