PTS Medicals

Duradiamond Healthcare has full Network Rail/Link-up accreditation (No.21106) and is able to carry out personal track safety (PTS) medicals either on-site or at one of our medical centres around the country. PTS medicals are undertaken following railway standard and include assessment of:

• General Health
• Colour vision
• Visions acuity screening
• Audiometry/Hearing
• Blood pressure
• Urine testing

We also perform Drugs and Alcohol tests using the “chain of custody” method to collect  a specimen of urine.

Duradiamond Healthcare promotes the health and safety of employees by ensuring that they are medically fit to do the job that they are employed to do and our aim is to prevent, where possible, incidents which could potentially cause injury to others as a result of the employees ill health or failure to meet safety critical criteria. As a means of achieving this goal, we:

• ensure that our Occupational Health staff are aware of relevant Railtrack standards and receive subsequent updates;
• ensure any  changes to Railtrack standards are incorporated into Duradiamond Healthcare Limited policies and are communicated to all relevant staff;
• provide training and accreditation for our staff.
