Treatment Services

Historically, minor treatment services were an integral part of most Occupational Health services however this practice largely ceased as Occupational Health services tried to focus more on disease prevention but, in fact, became largely confined to Sickness Absence Management.

Duradiamond Healthcare’s approach to OH is based upon developing a much more dynamic attitude to health within organisations with the aim of developing a positive “health culture and values”. This approach focuses on three main areas:

  1. Organisational - Providing healthy and safe environments Ergonomics, Work Processes, Shift Rotas and Working Environment
  2. Personal Health Practices - Focus on improving employee risk factors such as low exercise, obesity, smoking and high alcohol use. Research has shown that employees with any three of these personal risk factors have up to 50% more absence from work.
  3. Active Management of Health Problems - Physiotherapy for employees with musculoskeletal problems, psychology or counselling for employees with mental health problems and, in certain situations, a nurse led treatment and emergency response service.

Our nurses who are involved in providing treatment have extensive experience, receive regular training and work to laid down procedures and Patient Group directives. These reflect best practice and are reviewed annually. Simple treatments can often lead to the employee being returned to the workplace with no absence even if some work modification/restriction is required for a short period of time.

Evaluation by our clients has consistently shown that our treatment services produce a return on investment and are highly valued by all parties including clients, employees and Trades Unions. By reducing on National Health Services, they also contribute to each organisation’s Corporate Social responsibility.

IMMUNISATIONS

We also provide a wide range of immunisations and will work with clients to identify and update “at risk” jobs and/or employees
